The filter pressure tester passes a polymer-based mixture containing a certain concentration of pigment through an extruder equipped with a melt pump and a multi-hole plate supported filter assembly with a melt pressure sensor at the front of the filter assembly.

The difference between the initial pressure (test base material) and the pressure measured by the sensor after the melt pump through the panel mesh assembly is the filter pressure value (FPV), which represents the dispersion effect of the masterbatch. The smaller the FPV value is, the more the dispersion is good
